HasBeens (St Andrews VII) to meet Copa in what promises to be another “saucy affair”

March 10, 2009 · Posted in Game Previews · 1 Comment

After being knocked out by Copa in the Cup semis last season 4-3, Big Phil and the boys look to exact some revenge on the “Boys from Ipanema”.  That game saw the good guys come back from a 3-1 deficit with goals from Pierino and “Brazilian Drew” to tie it up, in an action packed first half.

Copa went up 4-3 in the second but there was controversy at the end when “Nigerian Charles” was denied in the 90th by the referee’s whistle after seemingly sending the tie into penalty kicks.

The rivalry is renewed this Sunday with an 11:00A kickoff at Lake Sylvan.
